Hanging out in Nairobi (a total ****hole) at the tail end of vacation, and browsing my fantasy teams for the first time. For teams auto-drafted without the slightest adjustment of the automatic rankings, I think I can work with this. Nice.
Apple's released a 64GB iPhone? Thank you Steve Jobs!
(murmur murmur)
Looks like I need to do some more catching up on the news of the last 20 days...
Just returned from the Serengeti. It takes a ton to break the mind and spirit of a Land Rover, that thing is built like a tank, but Kenyan roads might just do it. Tanzanian roads not much better. Worst I've ever seen.
Drake you should post some pictures if you want. Would be cool to check them out.
RE: fantasy draft. Mine was autopicked as well due to work blocking it but thankfully had modded the rankings and ended up pretty happy with my roster.

I work for Verizon wireless guys if you ever have a question, and no I don't get free phones.. and I agree android over iphone, both have their perks though.

Full disclosure I totally admire Jobs/Apple for the iPhone. There would be no android otherwise. iOS has a great gui. My 70+ year old dad could use it. That is hard to do.
Being an old guy at this point personally I just rebel at the closed vertical ecosystem that apple has for their smartphones. Let me plug in the phone on my pc and drag and drop and don't force me to use itunes and all that sync bs. Also don't lock me in to one in to one hardware manufacturer.
All that being said. Android absolutely has it worts. I think this fall's handsets the OS and hardware has improved/matured enough to have a decent user experience. Don't like the whole htc sense/touchwiz/motoblur BS. Just slows down updates. Oh and for the android manufactures please stop putting out too many android handsets /ends rant.
For me the decision was simple. Tired of lugging my iPod and phone since my battery was terrible and it got poor service in the gym/mall/etc.
I don't think everything is amazing, but it is a nice phone
Just take a look at the top 25/50 paid and free apps and see which ones look interesting to you.
I love my iPhone 4 but I'm really hoping iPhone 5 has a larger screen or else I'm going to have to look towards Android. A non-block body would be nice so it would be more comfortable in my hand/pocket.

I have a Droid X and honestly wish I would have got a different (smaller) phone. I use the hell out of mine for web browsing and 90% of the time the extra square inch or two isn't that big of a deal. I have just a simple silicon case and with that on it is cumbersome and big in my pockets. Overall it is a great phone but I think the extra screen space isn't worth it.

Honestly I felt the same way when I sold my moto Droid x for an iPhone 4. But you end up missing that screen space once its gone, especially for GPS functions. Another thing I hated on the IPhone was the GPS, Google navigation is absolutely the best on android, if the iPhone gets that and a bigger screen I might consider a switch. @ chim, have you tried the skyfire browser?

This is very interesting because I'm 99% sure the default GPS on my phone is Google and it is a serious piece of ****!

When does unlimited data for smartphones end, the plan that is.

As of now as long as you keep a PDA (Smart phone) on your line, you are grandfathered in. If you don't have it now its 30.00 for 2Ggb monthly. 10$ a gb after overage.
Really, what phone? I love Google maps/navigation..
Droid X. It can not track itself to save its life! Multiple times it was about 3 or 4 blocks off in a city and be about two or three miles off on the highway on its current location. Compared to Magellen GPS, it is just horid in that respect.
Also, I'd put money on Verizon forcing grandfathered unlimited data plans into the new ones with a 4g switch of some sort. We might get away with it for a bit but Verizon will get the extra money sometime.
