Just wikied this.

His father is the mayor of Cornwall, Ontario, where Kilger now lives. Kilger is now also a fire-fighter, although never having gone to fire academy.

That 2001 roster represents the Réjean Houle legacy.

At least that 2001 team could beat the Bruins in the 1st round of the playoffs

Seriously. If you took out the names and just listed the heights and weights, some people probably would pick the 2001 lineup over our current one.

That Bulis-Juneau-Dackell line probably had Jacques Martin wetting his pants... so defensive minded it was insane!

When Yannick Perreault is your leading guy in goals AND points, you know your team sucks! I still loved watching then though, they put up a fight every night...

Yep. That team could have used Carey Price though. Might have gone farther than they did. Theodore was not consistent.

That was the 2000 team. 2001 was Savard's first attempt at rebuilding the franchise. He had actually made some pretty good moves that summer, and the team made the playoffs for the first time in years. Hell, I remember getting all excited when the team hit the 500 mark.

That Chad Kilger kid is gonna be a beaut. He's that power forward we haven't had since LeClair! Edmonton was stupid to give up on him so quickly...We got a steal! Still young, big, has untapped scoring potential. Power fowards always take longer to develop...I predict a 30 goal season!

Funny how little things change. We never learn!

Don't remember Bill Lindsey and his defensive zone faceoff vs Carolina in the playoffs?

By the way I will never forget how good Zednik, Koivu and Theodore were in the playoffs that year. It was absolutely incredible...Closest I've ever seen to that was Halak and Cammalleri 2 years ago.

Theo was very good that year (at least for the second half). It's the year he won all the hardware.

I remember Guerin whining about it to the media during the playoffs. The biggest problem with the team, is that it didn't have enough gas in the tank.

Aside from his lack of speed, Perrault was an excellent offensive hockey player, and the best faceoff man in the league.
