Not for sale, but nice to see Matty picking up some fans from around the league.

BTW, moving Matt is the polar opposite of what we need to do. We need to ADD more guys like him, not subtract. No doubt the author doesn't realize this fact like most of us do since he doesn't follow the Isles full time.

Ill take Martins no ******** approach and muscle over RNH, call me crazy, addition of skill by subtraction of muscle and leadership that is in a young big player, would be a huge loss to this organization and we already lack in the heart and muscle department, losing Matty Marts would be very very very very bad

HUge fan of Martin but I'd let him go if Eberle was coming the other way.

He is pretty much in the untradeable category with Hamonic and Tavares.

No way.

Martin is EXACTLY the type of complimentary player you build around for the day (if it ever comes...) that you prepare for a playoff run. Good, tough hockey player.

I love Matt Martin A LOT... but are people really saying he's more valuable than Eberle or RNH?

People on this board are insane. Utterly insane.

Matt is fun, passionate and i love him, but guys want a BLUE CHIP FIRST LINER For him.

I cant.

It's too funny.

Have to agree with this. Love Martin and his style of play, BUT, I'll take a bunch of Oilers over him any day.

There is no one on the Oilers or in their system I would want for Martin whose names are not Hall, RNH, Eberle, or whoever we would draft 1st overall. Not that hes worth that, but anything else would be pointless and counterproductive.

I would consider trading him for Klefbom, that kid is going to be a great defenseman.

Think they're just stating that they'd have to be blown away by a trade offer in order to deal Martin and are tossing in a bit of hyperbole.

Don't get my hopes up like that!

What's funny is the idea that the isles, with a glut of good prospects and young nhlers, should trade Martin for a good prospect, solid nhler or pick.

The Oilers badly need someone to protect their young talent:RNH,Hall.Eberle.
Stop other teams from roughing them up.

Well, the isles can't spare Martin because they need him to protect Tavares,Grabner and the Isles skilled youngsters.

The people that are funny-crazy are the ones who would think Edmonton would trade them straight up one for one.

Sure...Edmonton can have Matt Martin.

Garth will just have to ask Jon "The Bruiser" Sim if he wants to come back...again.
