Emelin must really suck in practice.

This is probably related to Campoli's injury, plus losing Woywitka and Nash being injured.

It has nothing to do with Emelin, the only big problem in my opinion is that he can't speak English.
Habs lost Woywitka yesterday, and I am sure they did not expect that. Won't be surprised if he's sent to AHL when bodies are healthy.
We have little depth at D.

It's just to replace Woywitka in HAM.
Don't read too far into it

Pretty much a depth move. They didn't even expect Woywitka to get claimed. (I didn't either)
AHL is missing vets and we lack depth incase of injuries.

Maybe they'll keep 8 until Campoli or Markov is back.

You mean this isn't proof that Markov and Campoli will be out for the whole season?

Would giving Mitera a shot really be that bad of an idea?

Probably for insurance purposes yeah. But he is AHL bound.
It's a two way contract.

I don't understand the waiver rules. I'm not suggesting at all that the Habs should have or that Diaz deserved to be sent down but is that an option that the Habs had without Diaz going through waivers?

Who says the team won't at some point?
They lost a body permanently yesterday (Woywitka) and now replaced him.

I really liked him when he was on the Islanders as an injury call up.

I don't see how some of you are saying you didn't expect Woywitka to be snapped on waivers. I definitely expected it, and my father even called it on the forum.

He was a high scorer for my Hamilton Bulldogs in my NHL 11 Be A GM mode. True story.

I should have expected it seeing Rangers lost alot of depth. But honestly, I didn't like anything from Woywitka except maybe he's a big body.
