Preds Announce TV Schedule - Including Atlanta Market
Quote:
The National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the team’s exclusive regional television partner FOX Sports Tennessee (FSTN) announced today that the network will televise a franchise-record 68 Nashville Predators’ regular-season games during the 2011-2012 NHL season. All games will be televised in HD.
Quote:
The Nashville Predators TV schedule, along with the NHL’s national package, assures all 41 road games (39 on FSTN/SPSO, two on Versus/NBC Sports Channel) and 29 home contests from Bridgestone Arena will be televised regionally. Four of the 68 scheduled games will be televised on FOX Sports Tennessee’s sister network SportSouth (SPSO).
...And for us Atlanta folk:

...and for the first time ever, 42 Nashville Predators games will be broadcast in the Atlanta market and throughout Georgia, partially filling the broadcast hole left by the departure of the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg.
I can't find anything near Birmingham. Closest I can find it Decatur. You'll probably have to listen online. Here are some links, though the top one is out of date. The flagship changed from 102.9 to 102.5 over the summer when it changed to a sports format.
You can probably find it at 102.5 online. I say probably simply because sometimes there are weird regs that make it so you can't listen to a game online. It may be broadcast on XM, too.
The games below will be available throughout Georgia. Check back at FOXSportsTennessee.com for any changes.
Thanks!

I wish one of the local station would carry the preseason games. I don't care if Rudy Kalis calls the games ....why not! Just to see
They did the first year with an independent station--channel 30 I think. There's no way they could do it on one of the big 3 stations. Imagine trying to schedule network programming and hockey games on any day of the week at any hour between 1 PM and midnight! You think we get angry when something pre-empts the first five minutes of the game...or overtime? Losties would have made us look like bunnies if hockey had pre-empted the cold opening.
