I was the Habs. I'll make my pick now as well.

With the 8th overall pick the Montreal Canadiens pick Hall of Fame member:

Ray Bourque

The highest scoring defenceman and 9th highest scoring player ever, Bourque made his debut in 1979 and won the Calder Trophy. In a career spanning 3 decades he also won the King Clancy in 1991-92 and 5 Norris Trophies, as well as the Stanley Cup.

I was torn between him and Bourque, but I have more forwards to pick from than defencemen. Good choice.

No crying while drafting. You just made 2 good selections. Remember it's the late round steals that make a draft.

I've been waiting a week to make my 2nd pick.

Well with the Golden Jet already taken.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to select one of the most prolific scorers of the modern hockey era. A 4 time Stanley Cup winner. A player who scored 50 goals in 9 consecutive seasons!

The Penguins select of Montreal,

Mike Bossy

haha, oh no. I don't let a prolific scorer like him fall. It was either him or Hull for me. Hull was taken. So I was forced to take Bossy

I wont be crying while I'm picking, but I might think about it when the guys I want start disappearing.

Are we picking non-NHL players in this draft? Europeans and pre-NHL players?

You can take anyone you'd like, so guys like Tretiak are available.

I wouldn't go back too far.

IMO we should start with the 1917-18 season.
